History: The Mekon was the ruler of the Treens of the Northern Hemisphere of Venus from around 1750 through 1996, and again from 2002 until 2011. Genetically engineered by their scientists during the middle of the 18th century, he was created to be super intelligent, at the expense of the rest of his body, which was atrophied so as to be almost unusable.

Comments: Thanks to Steve Winders for informing me of the date of the final issue of Eagle Monthly (January 1994). Thanks to Joel for reminding me about why he used his flying platform.
