Real Name: Lieutenant Larry Kelso, NYPD.
Occupation: Police detective
Known Relatives: None
Base of Operations: New York
First Appearance: Hotspur Annual 1984 (D.C.Thomson, unsure if he appeared elsewhere other than the annual)
Powers/Abilities: Kelso appears to be able to either move at speeds faster than the human eye, or perhaps teleport. He not only manages to leave a car crashing over the side of some docks into the river without so much as getting wet, but he also departs a moving car without the driver being able to spot him leaving (he does leave the door open however, suggesting superspeed rather than teleportation).
He also appears to have some level of superhuman strength, throwing some assailants around by slapping them with the back of his open hand. Most noticeably of all however, he seems to be all but indestructible - bullets do no harm (they don't bounce, they just don't seem to bother him or even tear his clothes), he doesn't even flinch when hit in the face with a length of chain, and when someone strikes him on the head with a steel bar, the bar bends.
History: Kelso was a tough New York detective attached to the 14th Precinct, who survived every attempt the underworld made to end his life.
Comments: Not sure if this was a one off strip for the annual or a longer running strip in the comic itself. Either way, Kelso intrigues me. Not a superhero in the normal definition of the word (he wears no costume), he nonetheless is superhuman in some respect.
