Comments: A relaunch of the previous Worzel Gummidge magazine, the new weekly version was aimed at a younger audience than its unsuccessful predecessor. Despite this, it only lasted 23 issues before it too was cancelled, and merged into the similarly licensed Rupert Weekly, starting with the 50th issue of that title. Worzel's name remained on the cover of that new title, and presumably his strip continued inside it, until Rupert Weekly with Worzel Gummidge#61; with #62 the scarecrow's name was gone from the cover.

Each twenty page issue carried comic strips as well as puzzles and games, as well as an illustrated text story.

Worzel Gummidge appeared in a couple of text comics per issue.

At least in the first issue there was a one page comic strip, Soggy and Saggy, that was unrelated to Worzel except thematically, since it too included scarecrows.

A strip based on Wind in the Willows began at some point; it wasn't in the first issue and had to debut by #5, where it was first cover featured. I'm unaware of whether this was a reprint from elsewhere or a brand new strip produced for this title, though my suspicions are that it was the former.
