History: Unknowingly one of many children sired by the mutant Kraken, Martin Powys was born a mutant like his father. When his mother and sister were killed the orphaned Martin became a ward of the state, and after his powers were noticed he was placed in the care of Twilight Force, a paramilitary government force that raised him to be an agent for them. Reaching adulthood he was codenamed Unicorn, but before he could graduate from rookie agent status Kraken attacked Twilight Force's Fort Olympus base, destroying it; during this assault Unicorn's familial relationship to Kraken was revealed, and as a result Twilight Force came to doubt his loyalty. After some deliberation the decision was made to terminate him; ironically, Kraken likewise concluded that he couldn't let Unicorn live, and both sides' assassins shot Unicorn down simultaneously, apparently killing him.
