History: The Stinging Swarm were an aggressive breed of bees who would attack virtually any human they encountered, and whose sting caused temporary but instantaneous paralysis in humans. A gang of crooks wearing beekeeping gear used them to commit robberies, but were ultimately stopped by schoolboy Ted Drake, who the Swarm would not sting because his home-made hair oil repelled them.
