Mirror Man

Real Name: Dean Alder

Identity/Class: Human using magical item

Occupation: Head teacher of the Alder Academy

Group Membership: None

Affiliations: Drew

Enemies: Monk Manton, Professor Gregg, Pignalli, Atar the Black

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Alder Academy, U.S.A.

First Appearance: Tip Top #54 (United Features, October 1940)

Powers/Abilities: Using his cloak, the Mystic Garment, he could pass through any mirror (or mirror-like object, such as sheets of ice), becoming invisible (barring a slight blue glow) and intangible. Though things like bullets passed harmlessly through him while in this state, he could still touch things, including throwing punches. When he wanted to become solid and visible again, he could emerge from another mirror. Additionally, if injured while solid, passing through a mirror to become intangible would cause him to heal swiftly, albeit not instantaneously, even from severe wounds. The garment only works for Alder, or at least doesn't work for those who seek to use it for evil; when Alder is overpowered and his suit is stolen, the goon using it fatally injures himself trying to jump through a mirror.

A good fighter, Mirror Man sometimes used a gun as well.
