History: Psychic private Investigator Teresa O'Connor was hired by Juan Pedro Lazaro, government minister and former superhero Flechita, to find his missing daughter Covadonga, who had run away from her boarding school. Using the powers she wielded as Estigma, she tracked the errant child to a circus, El Circo Maravillas (the Wonder Circus), where Covadonga was performing as an acrobat under the stage name Cascabel, working in conjunction with the strongman Mihura. Cascabel tried to convince her tracker that the three of them should form a superhero team, but her attempts at persuasion were interrupted when armoured thugs led by former hero Gavilan kidnapped the child on the orders of Flechita's oldest foe. Mihura and Estigma worked together to obtain a magical gem that was the ransom price. After getting Cascabel back, Estigma finally agreed to the girl's demands to form a team.
