Powers/Abilities: Super-intelligent - "a brain sharper than a needle and faster than a super-computer".

History: Chacha Chaudhary is an elderly detective. A middle class Indian gentleman, wearing a red pagdi (turban - he is bald under it), shirt and tie, with a twitching nose and accompanied by a small dog, his unassuming appearance belies a keen mind. He has investigated and solved over eighty crimes, many of which involved supernatural or superscience threats.

Comments: Created by Pran in 1969, although it was 1971 when he first appeared in print. Chacha Chaudhary is something of an institution in India, appearing in newspapers and comics in ten languages. Chacha translates as Uncle.

Raghuvir Yadav as Chacha ChaudharyChacha drives a red convertible. Sabu, an ally who sometimes accompanies him on adventures, is from Jupiter, extremely tall and superhumanly strong. Chacha's dog is called Rocket. His wife is Bini, a sharp tongued and plump elderly woman. Another ally is Dag-Dag, an old truck which is half-human and half-machine.

On television the character has been played by Raghuvir Yadav, in a TV show named after the character. It was produced by Maya Entertainment and aired on the Sahara Television channel starting from May 13th 2002. The character of Sabu was played by Praveen Kumar. Chachi (another associate) is played by Madhuri Sanjeev.
