Comments: Created by Wilfred G. Moore and Robert M. Burtt. Played on the radio by Ed Prentiss (1938-1939, then 1940-1949), Bill Bouchey (1939-1940) and Paul Barnes (1949). The radio series ran from 1938 to 1949.

Fawcett's depiction of Captain MidnightAfter debuting on the radio, Captain Midnight was brought to comics by Dell in 1941, first appearing in Funnies #57 (July 1941), and then in 1942 went to new publishers Fawcett, who continued to produce new adventures for him until 1948. Also in 1942 the character moved to the big screen with a 15 part Columbia Pictures serial staring Dave O'Brien as Midnight/Albright.

Moonstone Publishing have recently announced plans for new Captain Midnight prose anthologies and comics.
