Powers/Abilities: Xavier has a two foot trunk where his nose should be. At the end of this trunk are seven, fully functioning, fingers.

History: Born in 1917, Xavier Desmond led a normal life until a fateful day in 1946; like many others, on the day that Jetboy battled Dr.Tod over New York and the Wild Card virus was unleashed, Xavier's life was changed forever. Infected, Xavier was lucky to be one of the 105 who survived; he was less lucky to be one of the 9% who became a physically deformed Joker. Gaining a prehensile trunk, he soon faced the prejudice directed at victims of the virus; his wife left him, he lost his job, and then he lost his home. Like many in his position, he moved to the Bowery district of New York City, or Jokertown, as it soon became known. There he began to rebuild his life. He got a job working at the Funhouse nightclub, and eventually came to own the establishment. Tired of the hatred Joker's continually faced, he founded the Joker Anti-Defamation League, JADL for short, and worked tirelessly to promote equal rights for Jokers; his fellows soon dubbed him "the Mayor of Jokertown", and he gained national prominence. When an international tour was arranged in the mid-1980s, with Jokers, Aces and politicians travelling to various countries to see how nations other than the States dealt with their Wild Card populations, Xavier was an inevitable choice to be part of it. A year or so later, in 1987, he passed away.
