Super Friends
Super Friends / The All New Super Friends Hour / Challenge of the Super Friends / The World's Greatest Super Friends / Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show / The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians
Super Friends debuted in 1973, and ran for several years under a variety of titles and with minor variations on the same theme - a group of DC heroes (more or less the classic Justice League line-up) adventuring together against various villains, alongside various made-for-the-cartoons allies. A larger than normal proportion of the cartoon created heroes managed to make the jump to the comics, and the shows are infamous for the Wonder Twins (nearly as well remembered as the Fantastic Four cartoon's Herbie) and the well intentioned but incredibly stereoptyped attempts to widen the ethnic range of the characters.
For the purpose of this site, I'm treating all these cartoons, regardless of changing titles and minor roster variations, as a single, ongoing series.
