History: Serena Neiman was the daughter of multi-millionaire businessman Kirby Neiman, the president of international conglomerate Technor, Inc. She and her father didn't see eye-to-eye, and Serena handled her aggression by practicing martial arts. When her friend, Laura, a nurse who resided in the poorer section of town, was attacked by a serial killer (the sixth victim, though luckily she survives), the Inner City Strangler, Serena decided she wanted to use her skills to fight crime. Patrolling the streets of her native Forest Grove, she encounterd the Sentry Squad, a group of street vigilantes, whose example inspired her. She moved into Laura's building and designed a costume to hide her identity, becoming the vigilante Nightingale.

   Though there was no obvious connection in Nightingale's story to link her to the DNAgents, she was included as one of their characters in Fantasy Game Unlimited's DNAgents Sourcebook for their Villains and Vigilantes tablestop RPG.
