Powers/Abilities: Killjoy is an extremly acrobatic master of unarmed combat. He also appears to be skilled with booby-traps and disguises.

History: Killjoy was a masked crimefighter who never spoke, at least not while in costume. He delighted in thwarting the schemes of villains who had overly developed senses of entitlement, and who thus believed it was their right to steal and commit other crimes. As a result they viewed Killjoy as, well, a killjoy, who constantly spoiled their fun, reducing them to hysterical tears every time he defeated them. Only one of his foes, Killer Ded, eventually got the message; as he was making his fifth breakout from prison in a row realisation struck that Killjoy would just recapture him, and Killer Ded decided to stop fighting the inevitable and just return to his cell.

Comments: Created by Steve Ditko. Killjoy appeared in only two stories, in E-Man #2 and 4.

Though Killjoy's true identity was never revealed, in both his stories he'd vanish as soon as the criminals were apprehended, while a seemingly unrelated man would suddenly turn up, telling any police present that they'd just arrived; in all likelihood, these were all Killjoy in disguise.

However, only one fake identity was definitely confirmed, that of Sir Cedric, which was used to capture multiple criminals out to steal the diamond known as the Jewel of Jewels, including S.s.s.snake, the only crook to have ever escaped from Killjoy during their initial battle.

CLARIFICATIONS: None.
