History: During a Peruvian archaeological dig a gigantic serpent burst from the ground and began to terrorise the area. Ralph Hardy, who had been part of the dig, fled into a ruined temple and discovered a series of cave drawings depicting the ancient Incans battling the snake, along with a belt carrying the inscription "He who loves the animal kingdom may wear this belt and be transformed into a human jaguar." Putting on the belt, Hardy became the Jaguar, defeating the monster and going on to fight crime.
