Base of Operations: Battlefields of World War II (specifically the Eastern Front of that war)

First Appearance: 2000 A.D. Prog 152

History: Constanta and his men were allies of the Germans in World War II. However, one of the German soldiers came to realise that the Romanians were also vampires. When Romania switched sides and joined the allies, the young soldier had the fight of his life on his hands trying to survive the attacks of the creatures who wanted to protect their secret.

Comments: Written by Gerry Finley-Day, and drawn by Carlos Ezquerra, created by the two of them.

In spite of having all been destroyed by the end of the story, Constanta and his men had cameos in the Judge Dredd strip Helter Skelter (thanks to Andrew Manning for informing me of this), and also turned up in the Durham Red story The Scarlet Apocrypha in the Judge Dredd Megazine. And thanks for Anthony Hogg for correcting me on the spelling of Constanta's name.
