Comments: Created by Mary Norton, and first illustrated for the original printing of the novel The Magic Bed Knob by Waldo Peirce. Played in the 1971 Disney adaptation, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, by Angela Lansbury. While it's debatable if the version from the novel qualifies as a heroine, the one in the movie uses her powers to fight the Nazis, so she definitely counts.
