Powers/Abilities: Skin black as night, allowing him to move unseen in the dark. Superhuman strength and invulnerability. Able to fly. Able to generate massive quantities of thick black smoke.
History: Basil Brussiloffwas a scientist working in his laboratory in Belgrade when a Nazi bomb struck the building. He survived the explosion, but, combined with the experiments he had been working on, it somehow turned him totally black. Desiring revenge for this condition, he called himself Blackout, and used his new ability to move unseen in the dark to battle the Axis.

Blackout only had two adventures, in Captain Battle #1 and #5. In his second tale I'm informed he apparently started wearing a green domino mask, though given his distinctive appearance quite why he felt the need is beyond me.
