The Amazing Spider-Man (1981)
The second Spider-Man cartoon, this variation on the theme was fairly close to the one in the comics. There are a number of similarities in style to suggest that if you were so inclined, you could consider Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends as a continuation of this incarnation of the web-slinger, although it would mean he faces certain threats twice (e.g. Nephilia is almost identical to the Arachnoid). The show ran for 26 episodes. There is an excellent site devoted to this show.
For some inexplicable reason, when Clear Vision released the show on DVD in the UK, they decided to rename it Spider-Man 5000.
